Mission Statement
Love God
‘Love the Lord your God with all your mind, soul and strength.’
The Bible teaches us that ‘God is love’ and his love is shown to us in many ways. It is therefore the first duty of the Christian Church to return that love both individually and corporately. The main indicator of our love is obedience to our Creator, our ‘Father’ God.
Love People
‘… and love your neighbour as you love yourself.’
The Bible teaches that all people are made in the likeness of God and he gives love and forgiveness to everyone who calls on him in faith. Therefore, the local church is a place where love is received and given without partiality. In this, God is honoured, people will find joy, hope and peace, making good relationships amongst family, friends and community.
Make Disciples
‘Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age.’
In church, we aim to follow this instruction given by Jesus noting that a true follower is not simply one by ‘label’ but from the heart, identified by that person’s words and deeds. We also acknowledge that wherever we are on life’s journey we can be listening, learning, and growing in maturity.
